On August 4th, 2023, the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) issued the pre-release version of the standard IEC 62057-3:2023 PRV "Electric Energy Meter-Test Equipment, Technology and Procedure-Part 3: Automatic Test System for Electric Energy Meter (AMTS)".
IEC 62057-3:2023 standard is applicable to the automatic test system (AMTS) of electric energy meter permanently installed in the control environment, covering the functions, technical requirements and acceptance methods of AMTS. This standard is also applicable to the newly manufactured AMTS, which is used to test the static active or active watt-hour meters with 50 Hz or 60 Hz network with AC voltage as high as 600 V (phase line to neutral line).
